fricking anchor. What else was I supposed to title this thread? It's just generally about Amazon Prime.

Is there something else that I'm missing here?

If I were you I wouldn't go to Amazon's website and see what all is offered with a Prime membership. I doubt Amazon publishes all the benefits offered with a Prime membership.

Oh gee thanks. I guess getting people's input that actually have and use it and can offer their personal experience is completely worthless.

i literally furnished my entire house off amazon, from the window blinds to the toilet seat covers to the 70 inch screen TV I got. Not only is my house more bad arse then it would have been if i bought everything locally i saved probably.. at least a grand not including everything i got was shipped, including the leather couches and the TV, fricking free of charge.

You can share your prime with a relative and split the cost. Also, if I'm not in a hurry for something I typically pass on the two-day shipping for the credit they offer at checkout. Recently they offered $5 off Prime Pantry, which I happily took advantage of.

I love it. I get my dog food much cheaper and all the horse supplements shipped free. It paid for itself pretty quick.

It also saves me plenty of trips out looking for a store that has something I need.

Yeah the free 2 day shipping is awesome, but when I looked over my Amazon activity from the previous year I really only ordered books and a few other random things whenever I happen to need something that can't be easily found locally.

We've ordered car parts, lawn mower blades, other home repair stuff, small appliances, and stuff we could easily pick up at Best Buy just because it's so easy to get it in two days. It saves a lot of time and effort if it means I don't have to go all over town looking for something.

Yeah I think I'm going to try it for the year and just think to look at Amazon much more often for things I need.

Price out what things you can get on Amazon for cheaper than you can get in the store and abuse the 2 day shipping. I think this might be one of those things that is more useful if you have a family rather than a single person.

The instant video is ok. Not really that great. It doesn't have everything HBO, but it does have all HBO as long as it is a certain age old. Maybe 5 years or something. Even with prime though much of the video content has to be rented.

I think you can also share the account with a number of "family members." As in everyone can use their own log in. I'm not sure exactly how this works. It would be more worth it if you can share costs.

Amazon Prime is great if you shop online. Just the free shipping alone is worth it. I just got a $275 AGM auto battery for my F-150 for $100 and it shipped free in 2 days.

Also not known a lot is if you have a *.edu email address you can get Amazon Student. It has the same benefits of Prime, but the free trial is for 6 months then its half price for the next 4 years.

2 day free shipping means you never have to go to WalMart again.

Yes, I said it twice.

Last Saturday night I was sitting on my back patio drinking a beer and I ordered some replacement return air grills. They were on my front porch the next day. That's right on a Sunday. Plus prime TV and music. Yep it's worth it and I'm about as frugal as they come. I hardly ever go to stores anymore, I can sit at home, order and have what I need delivered to my door.

I use Prime Pantry all the time. Dog food, cat food, cat litter, soap, chips, laundry detergent, at or better prices than Walmart. $5.99 shipped to my door.

Just the shipping benefits are worth it. A while back, a guy I work was telling me he went everywhere looking for a book for his daughter's birthday. I ordered it for him and it was on my doorstep the next day. Also , I just got a dog and I ordered his food there and it's much cheaper. I decided to order a second bag but used slow shipping and I got a $5 prime pantry credit. I use the slow shipping all the time and use my credits for ebooks and movie rentals.

Baby diapers, formula, wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, all show up automatically with free shipping for less. If I want something, I check if Amazon has it first. Plus, we stream 95% of our television. Besides Netflix's original content, Amazon Prime is better.

Outside of groceries and clothes, I'm not sure the last time I bought something that wasn't off Prime.

Amazon Prime is the fvcking shite. Xmas and birthday shopping takes 5 minutes with it, absolutely love it!
