No need to get upset. I stated in my first post in this thread that I would remain polite.
You mentioned that the planets move independent of the sun and Moon. How is it that depending on time of year, you and I could observe phases of Venus? Why would you be able to see it as a crescent shape with your own eyes? Why does it have phases if it were not indeed closer to, and rotating around the Sun?

They're looking at a different part of the dome. It makes absolute perfect sense in flat earth. Thats why they have some stars in common, and they rotate the opposite way due to refraction. Which is the question I posed you. I wanted you to think rather than entrap me in seeming ridiculousness
It only seems ridiculous because you assumed a round earth and accepted the ridiculous explanation for it.

I agree with this. Man this is an interesting thread

You sure about that hoss?
Your lack of reply gives me a lot of insight into you. It is clear you have spent a lot of time on flat earth sites but never actually look around in the real world. Nobody that has spent any time looking at the night sky thinks the stars rotate around the celestial poles once per year. It is pretty easy to see they rotate about once per day (a little shorter than a day, technically called a sidereal day). Polaris is close to the northern celestial pole but it is not exactly there currently. Of course, the earth wobbles on its axis by a small amount and so the stars seem to shift around the celestial poles. The earth rotates on its axis and makes a 23.5-degree circle every 25,800 years.
All these calculated predictions end up exactly predicting the observations. A simple ball wobbling a little as it spins and orbits the sun fits observations perfectly. A flat earth model just has to become increasingly complex to explain each observation. You keep having to add more and more complexity or just say things like the observable Coriolis effect don't exist. The farther you go down the rabbit hole the more threads begin to unravel. It is an interesting thought experiment for the bored but results in ever more complex explanations and outright refusals to accept observational data to hold steadfast.

They rotate over a year. The big dipper marks the seasons. This is where zodiac comes from. What do you think the zodiac is?

what do you think refraction is, out of curiosity?

Bending of light through a medium
You gonna Google and tell me that's wrong or do you have practical working definitions like an actual intelligent person

I just don’t understand how the bending of light through air would explain how two observers see everything moving in different directions.

1/2=4/8=68/136=2486/4972 etc...

Oh well then look at two sides of a silver spoon
Go to a carnival mirror house
Just look up refraction examples

Your definition of refraction is correct. Can you please let me know, using a reflection telescope, how the phases of Venus are possible?

He has got to be doing this on purpose at this point

Oh, you sweet summer child. You have been pontificating about astronomy and you don't even know the stars appear from earth to rotate around the celestial poles every sidereal day (~23 hours 56 minutes). That roughly 4 minute difference is what causes the relative position of the constellations to shift over time.
Jesus, go outside at night and look up, if you had done this once in a while you would know how stupid you sound. I actually thought you might have done some honest contemplation about the subject but it is clear all your "knowledge" is from a device and you have never actually experienced the real world which is a good indication of why you have such poor understanding of it.
