I thought we did this. A giant swirl over the entire landmass.

Is your question what makes the swirl move?

So then I ask what makes the earth move? How did it get that way?

I know what makes it move, and why it spins.

What I'm getting at is, if not for the rotation and curve of the earth, they wouldn't always spin the same way on each side of the equator.

Does it matter? It's irrelevant to the fact it does spin and the spin of low/high pressure systems in each hemisphere are consequences of that fact.

Yes they would with a giant swirl. It would go northerly westerly and counterclockwise on the top part of the swirl and southerly easterly and clockwise on the southern part of the swirl.

That's circular reasoning. Storms move that way because earth spins and we know earth spins because storms move that way.
What we actually know is storms move that way.

So tell me, and explain why. The point is ultimately it is no less ridiculous than God controls the weather. A big bang just made it happen out of nothing billions of years ago, sent this perfect orb spinning around

You’ve said this multiple times. Can you explain this better? I’m having a hard time visualizing.

“Northerly-westerly” and “southerly-easterly” both seem like counterclockwise to me.

Sure. Look down like you're over a map. Move your finger in a northwest arc and then complete that circle. Now move your finger in a southeast arc and complete that circle.

That’s the same rotational direction

What we actually know is storms move that way and it is perfectly explained by a globe earth. Flat earth requires a hand-wavy "explanation".

What we actually know is that objects disappear over the horizon and it is perfectly explained by a globe earth. Flat earth requires a hand-wavy "explanation".

What we actually know is how day and night work and it is perfectly explained by a globe earth. Flat earth requires a hand-wavy "explanation".

What we actually know is how satellites move and it is perfectly explained by a globe earth. Flat earth requires a hand-wavy "explanation".

What we actually know is how the seasons work and it is perfectly explained by a globe earth. Flat earth requires a hand-wavy "explanation".

What we actually know is why the stars appear to move the way they do and it is perfectly explained by a globe earth. Flat earth requires a hand-wavy "explanation".

And on and on and on and on...

Counter-clockwise

Also, counter-clockwise

No, it's spherical reasoning

Y'all are crazy. I can't help you. The NW arc to circle goes counterclockwise. The SE arc to circle goes clockwise

Here. Why can't you morons conceptualize anything?

I don't know how you could possibly help with that given your complete inability to visualize the fact that day and night can only work on a globe earth.

I can visualize day and night working on non globe earth. You can't but I can help you

I guess I thought that your giant ccw swirl had some logic behind it. In that it somehow formed the northern and southern rotations. Clearly it’s just magical thinking, though. Got it, thanks.

So what is special about the flat earth "equator" that makes storms behave the way they do? I can tell you what's special about the equator on a globe.

No no no. Let's not move on past the fact that you all deny basic spatial reasoning. You all said I was wrong. I literally had to draw it for you. I was right. Once again you've moved on to something else.

No you can't because it's not possible. If the earth were flat, then if any part of the surface were lit by the sun the entire surface would be lit.

I wonder if there has been any research into the specific mental deficiency that causes flat earth true believers to be unable to get a grasp on three dimensional space. I know that some people are better at it than others, and that it is a skill that can or has to be learned. But I wonder if there is a particular area in the brain responsible for it that is just shut down for some people. I mean clearly these people are able to learn and retain things, and maybe even have their own original thoughts, so they aren't full blown retarded. There has to be something missing though, right? Something that just doesn't click when it comes to spatial awareness and conceptualization.
