I give a shite about a hell of a lot more than one of them.

Too many too list.

Ball and Biscuit, FTW!!

You're a loser. Don't try and argue. You've nailed that coffin shut tight in this thread.

Well, yeah. They tend to pop into OT from time to time. Pretty obvious who they are based on their posts

While I wholeheartedly agree with the base assertion you're making, you're quite mistaken when you said...

Credence Clearwater Revival had zero.

Unless 5 number 2s don't qualify as hits. No, they never had a number 1, but still, they had 14 consecutive top ten singles. Personally I think top ten qualifies as a hit.

Calling Jack White overrated isn't a hot take

You're right. It's just ignorant. There's lots of acts I personally don't care for their music but I can recognize the artistry in their work an understand why some people like it.

A short list of not overrated White Strips songs

Ball and Biscuit
Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground
Fell In Love With A Girl
Black Math
We're Going To Be Friends
Icky Thump
Hotel Yorba
The Hardest Button To Button

Not to mention all the great tunes by The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.

If anything, he's highly underrated.

By that metric most of rock history are one-hit or no-hit wonders. The Grateful Dead had one. Velvet Underground had zero. Ramones had one. Pixies had zero. Nine Inch Nails had one. Tool had zero. Radiohead’s entire American chart history is Creep. The Clash had one. Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin are "one-hit-wonders.". Credence Clearwater Revival had zero.

You sir, must have never listened to Led Zeppelin. Zeppelin is the shite. You may be music illiterate and only recognize one song of theirs, but to call them one hit wonders. You are sorely mistaken.

You completely missed his point; it was an argument against the idea that Billboard charting success equals the quality and legacy of an artist/group. If Billboard is the metric Zeppelin was indeed a one hit wonder, only charting once in the top ten (never #1) and maybe 3-4 other times in the top 20. Stairway to Heaven, probably their best known song, never hit the top 100 despite being the #1 most requested song on radio of all time. This is partly or mostly because Zeppelin notoriously did not like releasing commercial singles.

This is exactly correct. Billboard can be an indicator but it's not an exact science because some bands had different ways of marketing their product. In Zepplin's case they were focused on albums, not singles
