and if that happens... the Monument Task Force will run back to the courts saying the city didn't abide by the original ruling about taking care of the statues during the removal

Yeah. If they can't get this down, imagine PGT and Lee.
Honestly this operation is bordering on criminal negligence. If one of these workers gets seriously injured or worse in this already bungled job, then there should be serious civil if not criminal liability facing whoever let these guys move forward with a total lack of knowledge, skill, and proper equipment.
