Her family appears on the show Alaska the Last Frontier. Father, brother Uncle, Aunts, nephews. She appears on it from time to time bringing her son to visit.

20-ish years ago, Jewel sang the National Anthem for a playoff baseball game in October. I was tailgating with a friend and his (?)12 year old son and my daughter who was the same age. When she was announced, my friend said, "Jewel? Who's that?". I replied " She's a good looking blond singer with a big rack.". My friend looked unhappy with my reply, while hos son fell over laughing.

I have never seen her on the Alaska show. I guess the mom isn't on it, her and the dad must be separated.
