Was it a pitbull?
And if so, was the child's foot still in the sock?

Mine shits dryer sheets about once a month. I wish my bulldog would do this. He'd smell better.
Haha, me too.

$2000? Who is the idiot/dumbass?
My black lab ate my wifes whole drawer of thongs, and he just puked them up after a while.

Mine is peeing blood, vet thinks it's bladder stones.
Waiting another week for his PH to balance, and then we go from there. After that, who knows...already down $380 for preliminary tests / medicine on the first visit

Stuff like this pushes me away from the idea of getting a dog.
It's not a common occurrence at all. Before this thread I've never heard of anyone's dogging doing that and it costing $2k to get it removed.

$2000 rather than letting him "pass it?" I'd have waited it out
Posted on 4/7/14 at 3:57 pm to Jimmy2shoes
Like I said earlier...he won't pass it. He's done it before and just thrown it up later but it's too far along now.

My dog has crapped out a sock at least 5 times.
He's an idiot but loves the taste of cotton in and out.

I dropped $2500 on mine two weeks ago. He ate some type of rubber plug and it plugged up his balloon knot.

My lab ate a tennis ball a couple of months ago. My regular vet was in surgery and sent us to an emergency clinic. $150 just to sign in the place. Another $550 to diagnose with X-rays. I asked if this was fatal and they said no. Then they showed me an estimate of $1500-2000 more to put him on an IV, keep him overnight and see if they could make his bowels move. Another estimate of $3000-5000 to do surgery. I told them you don't understand, this is fatal.
We decided to just take him home until our regular vet could see him that afternoon. Our vet gave him an enema and pulled most of the ball out with his fingers. Problem solved for $250.

Our lab cost us $900 on a camping trip 2 summers ago. He ate a bunch of wild mushrooms and we had to rush him to the nearest animal hospital where we were camping at(Flagstaff, AZ). He spent the weekend there while we were back at the campsite. They had to give him activated charcoal and iv fluids. Would have died if we didn't seek help.
Wild mushrooms are HIGHLY toxic to dogs FYI...don't learn the hard way like we did

Last I checked , and it's been a while, pet insurance gives a 10% discount on care and specifies which vet you can go to. The nearest vet was in Franklinton.
