it's almost like LSU doesn't want donations from alumni.
The current admin are either ignorant to, or don’t care about their alumni base. For a school already in a financial bind, this is a really poor choice. It’s sad to see it happen to a school that I love.

I taught African-American history once.
It was an absolute joke. The course rubric was pure propaganda, not an objective look at the influences of sub-Saharan Africans on world history and specifically American history.
It nearly blew their noodles when I told them George Washington Carver didn’t invent peanut butter

So we now have students determining the curriculum at LSU? As usual, LSU has it backwards.

to require all LSU students to take a course in African and African American Studies.
I'd like to reach out to LSU and let them know, that as an Alum, if this passes neither of my children will be allowed to even apply to LSU, but im white so they don't give a shite about my opinion.

It was sad. You could tell it really irked the professor.
I took a Africa political science class once. The class was taught by this black guy from Cameroon. He was a huge sports fan.. And it was a summer during the world cup (I had gone back to school during the summers to finish up something and this was summer of 2010 I think). He would ask one of the guys in the class to sit up front by him and watch to keep him updated on the games.
There were a few black people in the class. All of them except for maybe one or two, had this attitude like "yeah we are African Americans, this is a class on Africa, we got this. We just have to go to class and he got us". On the last day he allowed everyone to come up and see their grade. All the black people in the class who thought it was all about them.. Got either C's or D's.. They were pissed AF.
Dude laid it down on them. He flat out called them lazy and told them they would never make it where he was from. And went on about how his family had to move two a year.. Move as in, move everything during a time of year when the water from some river went down and then it would rise during another part of the year so they had to move everything back to what was the bank of the river when it risen.
After that little situation, I swore he hated black Americans. So stuff like this just makes me laugh. And the fact they call it African American studies is fricking stupid because you can literally be white and be African American.

Dr Ben Carson should teach it

Hah! I had this douchebag for English in '03. He tried some similar shite in our class. His class was a complete joke and I learned nothing. He had us put together this huge binder of all of our assignments for the end of the year. This binder took me 2 whole days to complete, mostly because of how time consuming it was to print out everything and organize it. He tried giving me a C in the class when I had done everything he asked and had done it well. I pointed this out to him when I visited his office and he finally gave in and gave me a B.
I didn't realize that he was the mayor's husband until now. It makes total sense because he was a moron.
You can still look up ratings that were posted on aroundu.com via the wayback machine. This is from Feb 2004. LINK

It’s incredible how far LSU’s falling in the decade since the canned Sean O'Keefe. LSU was on an upwards trajectory at the end of the 2000s.
Yep.
LSU is run by morons from top to bottom, at present.

I can sum up the class:
While black folks are better at everything, somehow they managed to find themselves with zero agency in their existence. . .and subjugated by a far inferior culture.
And CRT. And Kangz. And Africans came to South America. And blah blah blah. . .
And then Marxism.

Didn't he work with plants or something and he found away to make use of land that had bad soil or some shite, by growing peanuts? Which then lead to more peanut butter becoming available? I knew he didn't invite peanut butter (although he is given credit for it), but he did have something to do with peanuts right?

He made peanut growing more viable, which made PB cheaper.
And, to be clear, he was a legit genius, and among the greatest scientists/inventors in US history.

So should this be required of every minority group in the US? Asian American; Hispanic American; Native American? Why limit it to only studying one group?

Oh, no doubt. But these kids are legit brought up to believe the dude invented peanut butter. That one one else had thought to roast and mash peanuts before because they were just dumb Ol crackers.
(It was the incans who the first recipes were found with. But probably predates them too.)

It's not just LSU. China is buying off all the professors, deans, boards, etc... Academia has long sold out. It's time to CHECK these schools and chop them down to size. Too many universities giving out worthless degrees while the government saddles students with long term debt at ridiculous rates.

If it exists, someone has probably crushed it.
