1. This probably didn't happen.
2. If it did happen, he's probably exaggerating their reaction, more than likely rolled their eyes at him and went about their day.
3. The fact that he'd come and brag about something as insignificant as this indicates he's more than likely a dick head anyways.

It’s cute that you think you just told three women to calm down. Women truly ( not exaggerating ) believe their emotions are literal truthful reality. What you really did was insult their life journey, their experiences as women,, dehumanize and delegitimize them and insult them and harass them with toxic masculinity, which as we know is a scourge and the root of all evil and this makes you a very hostile influence in the workplace and is highly problematic and for this you must now receive additional sensitivity training and or lose your job and your home and live under a bridge and kill yourself . Next time just smile and say “ absolutely “.

Sometimes when I'm walking through a large and busy airport and see a woman who is clearly upset, i like to tell her to calm down and then just walk away. It's hilarious. We'll, to me at least. The poor people withing a 20 ft radius of the crazy person probably don't appreciate it.

That depends. Office women like in sales or HR are the worst. Women who work more blue collar type jobs generally are pretty cool. I work with both types, so I can speak from experience.
