I still think Maddie was target as he seems to have gone straight to her room.
I think Kaylee got the worst of it because she woke up and challenged him. Maybe because she was there and he wanted to do Maddie alone as some sick form of intimacy. Her being there and that extra rage and time is why he left the sheath.
I recently saw an article that said

The data also shows that Kohberger’s phone was allegedly used to search for pornography along with terms like “passed out,” “forced,” “drugged,” and “sleeping” in the weeks around the November 2022 murders, according to the Datelin

Alivea Goncalves interview before sentencing with Brian Entin.

She's a hero. I still can't get over her delivery at sentencing. Her voice didn't shake or crack. She spoke in a normal speed. She didn't appear to be nervous.

The strength and poise these young adults have shown is truly remarkable.
I hope they can find some peace.

If he hadn’t left that sheath would he have walked? I know they have his car on video driving by and cellphone pinged in the area a lot.

Doubt it. The guy was a moron and if it wasn’t the sheath it would have been something else.

He should be tortured until he confesses his motive for murdering these people
First, his fingernails should be ripped off slowly, then his toenails, then his teeth should be pulled one by one, and then his skin should slowly be filleted off of him
He should’ve never been allowed to get life in prison

Is this where we discuss today’s doc dump on this case?

Somebody asked this to the cops and their response was there was enough evidence that they would have eventually got him. May have taken longer, but they eventually would have landed on him.

Gray Hughes podcast from last night where he reads latest doc dump. It’s where he reads officer statements about what they saw in the bedrooms

That's how they knew to go to his home in Pennsylvania and dig in the father's trash. They knew who he was and they were pretty sure he did it before the father's DNA from the q-tip was matched to the sheath.

I'm interested in the family and what they knew/suspected....
I read the James Patterson book last weekend. There's a short chapter where the mom of one of Kohberger's Pennsylvania friends says she ran into the dad at a grocery store several months after the murder. She said he told her that all of that stuff about Bryan wasn't true and that he was being framed. Said someone planted the knife sheath and what happened to the kids was drug related.
So, either he was in denial, a total dumb arse, or going to defend his kid no matter what.

I would expect them to be in denial for a long time especially if their son was denying everything. No parent would want to believe a child did something like this. The defense team wanted to introduce 4 people as possible perps in this. The judge denied the motion. Shortly thereafter, he agreed to plea. He was out of any defenses at that point.
His mother and sister attended sentencing. His father did not. His mother reportedly cried during some of the victim statements. That's all interesting.

He was also on the phone for approximately a hour at 6:00 AM (two hours after the murders) with his parents. I wonder what was said/discussed? Judging from the video when he was pullover over in Indiana, I believe the father was completely oblivious.

Also, Kohberger apparently FaceTimes his mother from his cell multiple hours throughout the day

That was strange, but it was probably 8 am their time, so not that early there.
I read about him Facetiming his mother as well. Hopefully, he won't have the privilege when he reaches his final destination. Maybe he's a Momma's boy.
I watched a video of a Dr. about his body language at the sentencing. Wasn't that interesting. He didn't show the body language when Alivea was addressing him. The main thing was he thought KB didn't like it when the men addressed him.

You could look at this guy and know he was guilty, much less adding in the fact he's a weirdo incel former heroin addict who burgled homes to pay for his drugs. He also stole his own sister's phone and had other creepy manipulative behavior.
His parents aren't absolved of all guilt here. I think there's a chance he pleaded to keep them out of trouble. You can't tell me he and his dad drove cross country after the murders and his dad didn't suspect anything.

He’s a complete psychopath and the fact that he’s allowed to take a breath. Each day is ridiculous.

Did you hear the part that on Nov 4 the girls found their door was left open and walked the house with golf clubs for their protection? Could that have been BK taking pictures and getting familiar with the layout of the house? That’s only 9 days before the murders.
A month before the murders Goncalves had taken her dog, Murphy, outside when she saw an unknown man "up above their house to the south," staring at her. Kaylee told a friend she was being stalked in September and received strange Facebook Messenger messages (whatever that means).
I also learned that BK kept circling around the block so many times because he was waiting for the DoorDash driver to leave. The DoorDash driver had a lot of trouble finding the place. She pulled to the back, got out, made eye contact with most likely Xana through the window and finally pulled to the front. Gray goes into detail more, but the DoorDash driver was around the area from 3:45 onward. As soon as the driver left, that’s when BK started.
Finally, BK had a long conversation with his dad 2 hours after the murders at 6am. What was that about?
