Worst kind of snob?

Posted by GentleJackJones on 3/3/26 at 8:23 am
Which is the worst?

Food snob?
Movie … excuse me, “film” snob?
Music / record store worker snob?
Wine snob?
Beer snob?
Bourbon snob?
Art snob?

am not really concerned about getting hurt, but there is so much potential for a fricked up weekend due to some arse picking a fight or somebody fricking with my truck, that it is just not worth it to me. If you get in a fight, regardless of who starts it, as an LSU fan you can bet you’ll be spe

This. I’m more concerned about having drinks tossed at us from a distance, car being keyed or tires slashed, refused entry or denied service at a bar etc…
Oxford is too much of a pain in the arse to get in and out anyways. It’s too inconvenient.
I can’t believe I had no idea that PM attended and played at LSU for a year…

He also bounced around like a current transfer:

LSU
Miami-Dade North CC
UNO

basically im saying he might be a better pro player than jeremiah love which would be unexpected.....

Love was the best running back in college football. That said, I can see him being a bust in the NFL. I don't know why; I think he's really good, but I thought the same of Lenoard Fournette. It just wouldn't surprise me.

Assembly Hall in Bloomington should be on the list

This - Same with Hinkle Fieldhouse (Butler).

Mackey Arena (Purdue) is an absolute dump and I have no clue why it's on the list. It's the Big Ten's version of the "Tad Pad."

The only that I know of are the Kentucky 74 brand. No clue how they taste, however.
Yea, ND had the top 2 backs in the country last year and still didn’t make the playoff … ouch
LSU - Ole Miss
LSU - Texas
Ole Miss - Louisville (if Golding loses out the gate …)
Texas - Ohio State
Indiana - Ohio State
Oregon - Ohio State
Michigan - Ohio State
Oklahoma - Michigan
Miami - Notre Dame
BYU - Notre Dame
Tennessee - Texas
Alabama - Georgia
Alabama - Auburn
Perfect - thank you so much. Seriously. It’s greatly appreciated and that’s what we’re looking for…strolling around, taking it easy, wandering into shops, having good beer and food, enjoying the sights, outdoors and just unwinding

when we went to stowe/waterbury we were advised to avoid burlington, that was a few years ago. i dont think we missed anything anyway our trip was providence>stowe>waterbury>woodstock>providence providence airport might be the easiest flights we've ever taken

We’ll likely fly in and out of Burlington for proximity to Stowe/Waterbury.

I know they are pretty close to one another, but do you recommend the town and/or staying in Waterbury or Stowe. Is one better than the other or offer more attractions?

Well only be there 4 days, is it worth splitting up? Meaning, 2 days in Stowe and/orWaterbury and 2 days in Woodstock? Or, should we just focus on one of the two (Stowe and Waterbury vs Woodstock). Logistically, I don’t think it makes much sense to fly into Burlington and then drive directly to Woodstock. Also, driving back from Woodstock directly to Burlington to catch a flight, while not long, isn’t ideal.

Logistically, I’m thinking it may be best to stay and explore both Stowe and Waterbury for the short time (4days) that we’re there as opposed to cramming Woodstock in.

What do you think?

Too many calories in some of these IPAs. Likely close to 250 calories per serving. Also, anything more than 7.5% ABV is too much for a beer.

Yep. These 4 packs of 8.5% Double IPAs that cost $28+ just isn’t feasible.

I feel way too full and bloated after one. In terms of drinking beer, I like to have a few … a few of those big, boozy IPAs just gets me too drunk and leaves with a pretty tough hangover (and considerable GI issues….).
St John’s feels like a paper tiger to me. I called it when they lost to Arkansas (actually had them losing to Omaha in first round).

Only one guy that can bring them back to true form. Mike. Jarvis.

What are some well known bands or artists that you can’t take seriously or judge people, rightfully in you eyes, for liking them.

1975
Morgan Wallen
Bieber
No Vanderbilt? I'm aware that it's early, but what's up with them this year?

Worst thing about the ‘90s (most of it) was no BCS or playoff system. You had split titles in 1990, 1991, 1997, and essentially 1994 too.

Certainly a fair point. You can even throw 1993 in the mix too.

FSU 12-1 finishes #1 despite losing at Notre Dame.

Notre Dame finishes #2 despite beating FSU and losing to a top 12 Boston College team.

Head to head didn’t really matter.
Hockey and soccer really are somewhat similar. Obviously, hockey is faster and the rink is smaller, but the buildup is quite the same.

I’m no soccer guy, but I was able to attend a game when overseas. I had seats in their “nosebleed” equivalent which, frankly, really helped me enjoy or appreciate it. There’s a lot more to it than just kicking the ball around…there’s lots of build up and strategy behind it and you can tell teams have different strategies or styles. Soccer takes a lot of patience to enjoy.
What local teams do we have across the South?

How many ice rinks do we have across the South?
This thread has me cracking up. Can’t tell if it’s a troll or not
Both are fairly similar in atmosphere, menu and whatnot. Which do you prefer?

90’s were so much better. It had so much more parity ….
