wonder what they’ll do to the old zoo property after they remove all the animals.

I can’t believe the residents of Santa Maia aren’t up in arms over this. The noise, the stench and the increased fly population will wreck hell on that area.

Why does BR even need a zoo when there's a world class zoo an hour away
Many come to the Houston zoo. But this whole thing just shows how dysfunctional LA government is.

This video from North BR facebook is horrible. LINK So they go around the zoo and film random shite and make the case that BREC is abandoning the zoo. A piece of trash on the ground is filmed so obviously they have trash everywhere (they probably planted it). Or maybe one of our gracious north BR residents left it. When I worked there, I saw a black lady change her kids diaper and throw the dirty diaper in the animal enclosure. And this was with a garbage can less than 20 feet away
Let’s go around filming NBR. They have the nerve to film litter and dilapidation? If they focused as much attention to their own trashy and ghetto neighborhoods, then maybe we wouldn’t even be having this zoo conversation.
The zoo is a reflection of the area in which it resides.

Then shame on BREC.
