Exxon is the second largest company in the country.

Also what's funny is when I was interviewing with Exxons auditor about 2 years a go I asked them how they were going to deal with them moving to Houston (different office obviously than the Dallas office so substantially less work and prestige available) and they laughed at me and said no way they make the woodlands their main headquarters. I guess they saw me as naive or stupid because I saw right through it, you think the big wigs don't want to be chilling in a new bad arse facility?

The Alaska permanent fund isn't even a company.

What is this based on?

No one seems to know because WVU isn't a company either. I bet largest employer or something.

It's based off revenue. And WVU runs basically all the hospitals for the state.

I am also confused by the Home Depot getting the nod in Georgia.

Coke's an international company and is one of the main sponsor's of the olympics.

Probably because Coke has a ton of different companies under its umbrella and no single one of those has more revenue than HD.

I wouldn't be surprised.

CA is doing its best to run off as many businesses as possible.

Soft drink/drink/consumer food industry is much more profitable than hardware. Home Depot has twice the revenue but half the profit of coke.
