My parents stayed at L'Auberge Lake Chuck one night last year and my Dad said he was in disbelief at how far it had fallen.

Yet the rooms stay booked solid 7 days a week.

are they legit booked or is it folks using vouchers? When I worked there they'd give poor people free nights during the week to have more folks in gambling

There are few places on earth more depressing than a second rate casino.
Topped only by a 3rd rate truck stop casino.

The one in Baton Rouge is decent as well, it just really small.

What I don't get about a lot of casinos.. And I guess any place in general, is the lack of maintenance, but it seems more common in casinos, but I hate going places where there are several light bulbs that need replaced. That tells me they don't care enough to keep things as nice as possible and if they can't replace some light bulbs what else are they ignoring?

Oh, they do maintenance alright. It’s just on the things that take your money. Slot machines, ATMs., mini bars, etc
