I have never had a GPS issue in Nashville. Thats weird. I wouldn't doubt the drug thing, thats just downright clever
I didn't know you couldn't rate if they didn't show either because I've never experienced it. My bad. They DO have INCREDIBLE customer service so you should report those drivers if you think they are to blame.
I'm in San Francisco. My most recent cancelation (it's only happened a few times in the 2.5-3 years I've been riding) was a BMW 750 on Uber X, which I thought was quite interesting. His car kept jumping all over the map, and he seemingly refused to turn on to the straight I was waiting on. He turned on an alley way, waited for awhile, then I could see him drive past me. Then he decided to cancel on me. I even tried contacting him and couldn't get in touch with him. My girlfriend was thinking definitely drug dealer.
With that having been said, I much prefer Uber to Lyft or Sidecar. Uber has much nicer cars, and I think higher quality drivers. Taxi drivers also try to ram Lyft drivers off the road, and I want no part of that. Also in SF, Lyft shuts down at 3 AM, so if you're partying late, then Uber's your only option (though I'm not sure about Sidecar but I think that'll be the first of the three to go out of business).

But only a few times in 3 years is probably less than real cabbies no-show man.

You can't tell the difference in Nashville really. All are decent cars, rarely super nice vehicles but always something like a clean Envoy or Accord (had both last weekend). The mustache on the grill is optional and barely any of them use it anymore in Nashville so cabbies would have no clue who's who. (for those that don't know, some Lyft drivers put big pink mustaches on the front of their vehicle's grill)

So y'all are saying if I live in Pville and want to have a good evening at lauberge or 3rd street and don't want to risk a dwi, uber won't drive 10 mins past highland road to pick me up. It's not like they will get shorted. Obviously my fare will be higher

I've used them to get me pretty far out, like 25-30 minutes away from where they are on the map when I ask for one. Not sure how many drivers will be in Baton Rouge though. I think every city is pretty different.

I'm not saying you won't find a driver to get you, but if there are people in the middle of Baton Rouge requesting rides, then the drivers are going to pick the low-hanging fruit first.

Any Uber reports, Baton Rouge users? Is it just Uber X, or is there also an Uber XL (Uber X but with SUVs)?
Posted on 7/11/14 at 5:01 pm to OFWHAP

Didn't read the thread so sorry if it's already been covered.
I saw my friend give a promo code this morning. So I downloaded the app and tried to register. When it comes to my debit card info, it says error adding method of payment. Same thing when I try online.
Anyone else have this problem?

Sign up online not through the app. My driver said they are thinking about extending the $5 rate and their are celebrity drivers in the city aka Les Miles.

Tried the website. Keep getting error messages.
First it said "PLEASE CORRECT THE FOLLOWING: THERE WAS A PROBLEM PROCESSING YOUR CARD. PLEASE CHECK YOUR DATA AND TRY AGAIN."
Now it just says error: Unknown ()
