As has been repeated many times ITT, just because this weird stalking app is normalized it is still frickin weird.
Are all you just anxiety riddled schizos? Are you legitimately concerned that your kid won't get home from school?
This level of even implicit constant surveillance is just bizarre.

I don’t mind my wife, knowing where I’m at so she doesn’t have to text me if I’ve left a certain location yet.
For one to be so brainwashed that they can't understand how wrong this is is mind numbing.
There is no longer freedom and trust. An app is telling you that it's okay, we're watching them for you.
Live life already.

Yea...the takes in this thread are insane. These dudes are slaves to an app on their phones to tell them everything is okay.
Sad!

What is independence?
What is the point of these "location sharing" apps?
Do these apps not influence, even if implicitly or unconsciously, behavior?

The comments are truly bizarre

I just like to spend all day on it tracking everyone

It's easier to let my wife track me 24/7 than talk to her on the phone & tell her where I'm going

Or want their children to have even the slightest hint of independence?
They can celebrate their independence by buying their own smart phone. How bow dah?

Hopefully when you're done babysitting them instead actually parenting they'll be able to do so.

There’s this simple thing called text messaging where someone can send you a message when they safely get to where they’re going.

Or, you know, not being such an emotionally stunted basketcase that that needs to know the exact location of youre loved ones at all times.

Okay, so you think I'm weird. This is such a no big deal topic. Many of us have outlined how it's useful in our own families, so use it or don't.
And I'm pretty sure the Chinese government and AT&T knows my whereabouts (and my kids') with these silly phones we carry everywhere, but I'm supposed to be freaked out that my own husband does? LOL

Thanks to this app, I have busted my teenage son doing shite he's not supposed to be doing several times. As a single father with another kid, this app is a huge help.
When my kids aren't home, I usually open it once or twice to make sure they are where they are supposed to be or on the way home when they should be. I don't spend all day on it.
After busting my son's arse, he changed his course.
Personally, I don't give a shite if anyone thinks I'm a bad parent for using the app when my kids are out or are out late.

Another schizo poster. Lmao.
No fedboi is sitting in a dark smokey room watching you go to piggly wiggly.
The need to constantly check on or be checked on by others is weird as frick.
This constant survelliance screams lack of trust and is never date / marry a woman that depends we share location 24/7.

Nobody in China or at ATT gives a shite about your location. The only reason anyone uses your location is to sell you shite and target ads at you. While I do find it regrettable that these things track us all them time, they're not related to Life360 in any way, shape or form and that argument is, frankly, just stupid.

Youre supposed to be freaked out that the two of you even feel the need to know each other's whereabouts at all times. It's emotionally immature.

The OT: Any parent of a child that commits a major crime is a failure and should also be jailed. How can you not take care of your kid?
Also the OT: Any parent who wants to know where their child is when they are not around is a terrible parent.
You frickers are bipolar.

You can flip your argument the other way as well.
These Life360 stalkers probably bitch and complain about how soft the youth are today and blah blah blah
ITT they are bragging about constantly stalking their kids and helicoptering all over them.

Have you ever had a car with a navigation system? Owned a cell phone? Apple watch? Opened Waze or Google Maps? You're being tracked constantly and freely give that information to myriad companies filled with strangers. Why is it so weird that family members might want to check in with each other?
So again, use the app or don't. It's actually a place where being tracked is useful to me, personally. That's all.

Dumb and ignorant strawman argument.

Why do you feel the need to know where they are at any given time? That's what's weird.

It’s weird because it’s always on real time tracking.
If you want to check in on your family members, why don’t you just, you know, communicate with them.
I guess that’s too much of a burden these days.
