I guess it depends on age. I feel old, but at 28 I'd be offended if I was contacted other than a phone call or text.

Shank, I was even par on the back nine on Sunday walking off 17 -- 2 birdies and 2 bogies. I went brain dead on 18 and pushed my drive into the water. Made 6 for a 38 and shot 80. Ah, what could have been.

I was just thinking.. man, I have no idea how I prefer to be contacted.
I guess I'm fine with either. I text a good bit as is. A phone call to ask for directions or confirm that we're still on or whatever is fine, but I am not really into getting to know someone on the phone. I prefer to get to know them in person or a little bit of texting back and forth before the date.
My free time is either spent doing something socially or doing things at home (cooking, cleaning, watching a show, etc.). I don't have time to sit around making small talk on the phone.
