Sorry for your loss. I lost my father 16 years ago to cancer. The emotion of the grief I felt, holding his hand at the moment he passed, still bubbles to the surface occasionally. It never goes away.
Like you, my father was my hero. His voice and all the things he taught me are part of my inner monologue. He is still a part of my life everyday. I'd like to think that it is now my responsibility to make sure everything good about him survives through me and the way I live my own life.

Think of the positive, he is enjoying time talking lsu sports with Billy right now and is no longer in any pain.
