I literally DON'T CARE about masks. The rollbacks on bars and restaurants is what will hurt the economy. That's what needs to be done away with.

You're going to have to link those numbers.

0.07% of population of Louisiana has died from COVID. 3351 died to 4.649 million residents in Louisiana.

Eta: just Incase you’re new to La Politics, JBE won’t be running in the next election.

This is incredibly ignorant on the AG’s part and strictly political.

When did that happen? They have a restaurant license and have been operating as normal as recently as someone telling me yesterday.

I thought they could only do take out

Bars, yes. Ivar's is licensed as a restaurant. Not a bar that serves food.

A loophole,

That's why I thought they closed.

I think the owners are trying to get classified as a restaurant.

May still be operating as one until they do.

Are they?

I'm going off conjecture from employees of another of the owner's businesses.

Nobody really knows whats going on right now.

Just that you have to wear a mask to enter. Please don't fight with our staff over the fact.

I was told they are, but maybe they're just not being messed with because of who hangs out in there?

They were open during Phase 1 when other bars were not allowed to be.

no.

I work for a restaurant in the area. Everybody who works in this area somewhat hangs out after work. You hear things and try to sift out the BS to get to the facts.

Didn't know Ivar's was classified as a restaurant.

TaderSalad Attorney General Landry just ruled Edwards mask rules & bar closures unconstitutional, null & void.

He issued a Legal opinion, his opinion. It doesn’t mean JBE’s order/mandate null and void. Geez. Think before you post.

For the record, a few months ago Landry issued a mandate for the Department of Justice stating that all employees working in the office building were required to wear masks. It sounds like he is the one being political. It’s okay for him to mandate masks but not the governor? Sounds political to me.

There it is.

They did get re-classified. They weren't initially opened during phase one. Opened up a few days into it after getting re-classified.

Still could only allow 25% and got shut down and had to kick everybody out because the bartenders let well over 25% in the first day.

Manager showed up and starting yelling at everyone to get the frick out. She was pissed.

ETA: They opened back up the next day. They didn't get in trouble, but the cop who showed up to shut them down told them they had to get everyone out. He was laughing while she was yelling at the customers to leave.

You must not pay much attention to my post.

JBE is a fricking embarrassment as a governor

Landry is a bigger embarrassment as an AG

Can you imagine how much of an embarrassment Jeff Landry would be as a Governor?

I can’t even fathom it.

No one expected JBE to win one term much less 2 terms, he took the whole state by surprise.

Voters and the states GOP will be better prepared next go round, and Jeff Landry isn’t their first choice.

This state is regretting not voting for the guy that cheated on his wife wife a hooker
