Hardly. Cop killers are at the top of the heap in prison.

Sorry to change the subject, but possession of brass knuckles is illegal in Bama? WFT?

I believe they aren't illegal to own, but are illegal to posses in public. I don't know though, I've seen vendors at flea markets and such selling them many times.

Killed over loud music.
USA Today
quote:

Williams approached the truck Johnson was driving and asked him why his music was so loud. That's when Johnson allegedly shot Williams once in the head.

Most states classify them as a weapon and concealing it is a crime of illegal concealing of a weapon.

Man, can you imagine being the father of that kid. The thoughts going through his head must be unbearable.

Loud music is why Sheriff approached his truck, but if the little thug who looks more like a middle schooler not his age murdered him just because of this especially being a son of a law enforcement officer (unless he hated & disrespected his father) he has to have had some psychopathic tendencies and shown signs in past or had something on him that he disposed of afterwards that he worried more about getting caught with than murdering someone.

Not sure why I am even trying to find any hint of logic behind actions of a murderer. This kind of reminds me of the cop murder in Biloxi where murderer was just waiting on a cop to come out to then murder. This just also seems like an ambush by the little thug.

If he shot the cop for going up to his truck for loud music, I’m with the people that wish for this frick stick to be shot on sight. He is not worth the oxygen he uses up.

I hope all understand that that Big John is a Prince of a man. I am from Lowndes County and will attest that I've never met a person with an ill word regarding Big John. He was kind, humble and firm.

Big John wouldn't mess with anyone, but no one would ever mess with him.

The loss to Lowndes County is substantial. In a place known for racial strife, he bridged all divides.

The boy that killed him cannot understand what he has taken. I hope he is taught the history of Lowndes County and Big John's role in its reconciliation.

Suspect has first court appearance. Of course, he will be held with no bond.

"An 18-year-old charged in the murder of Lowndes County Sheriff John Williams made his initial court appearance this morning in Lowndes District Court in Hayneville."

"Sport ordered Johnson held without bond. Sport said he would schedule a preliminary hearing in the case after Johnson has a lawyer."
