I also still have no clue how that happened.

The sad thing is that this is about trial lawyers. Simply put, LSU does not want to get sued. I think LSU needs to cut their association with the Fraternity system . Let the frats have their own insurance (FIPG?) and be completely autonomous .
Little Jonny getting hurt? Ha, he'll hire a lawyer and sue everyone.

Which is why from a university standpoint, I can understand sleep deprivation, ,forcing physical tasks, actual physical abuse, underage drinking, and those things. Again, I'm not for destroying the experience, I can just see the liability view point. But having a pledge be called a pledge, or clean the house, or be forced to spend the week at the house for initiation week. None of that causes any harm.

Being forced to stay at the house and deprived of sleep is extremely common especially on initiation. Just another example of pussification

Lambda Chi, that would mean being kicked off campus for two years.
Well, they sucked anyway.

This is pretty tame to compared to LXA 2002 frankly. The cuck brigade and their risk management (((legal counsel))) are trying to reduce Hell Weeks to University supervised pillow fights. At least they didn't gang rape Jackie from UVA.

Why isn't student physical trauma at football practice considered hazing?
If it's a matter of Greek students signing some waiver that allows football players to get physically abused, just copy it and do it.

I'm not sure that's a real good analogy.

Idk. But both are made up of LSU students who chose to be in those organizations.
Why is there a difference in how the students get treated in one and get in trouble and the other is cool?

REally odd things to be kicked off campus for but in this day, they might as well just initiate them in October. Assign work duties by class with seniority having perks.
Being a pledge was a frustrating and fun time when I went through back in the early 90's. No way or reason why they should do some of the things from back then but the ultimate goal was the bond and learning when to tell them to frick off as a group. Pledges as a collective hold plenty of power within the fraternity but unfortunately one pledge can ruin the entire Fraternity.

Among other things, the football players have a whole slew of medical and training staff attending to them.
But also, quite frankly, it boils down to the football team generates a ton of money for the school.

As does the Greek system but many arent willing to withhold donation because of the continues attacks on the Fraternity system.

Maybe but LSU's alumni giving as a whole is in the toilet so I'm not sure how much of a threat that is.
Though to be fair to your argument, Roger Ogden was a Kappa Sigma and you are right that the attacks on the Greek system haven't affected his donations.

Whats the difference between making someone do pushups as punishment between a member of a greek organization or an athletic one?
