That might be the most depressing picture I've ever seen. The guy on the far left looks like one pissed of SOB

How long have the rules been posted?

I would have to disagree.
i disagree with your disagreeing. we were "warned" a few years back. we typically get checked Friday nights.
our area sort of "self polices". several people have extra aluminum flex hose and pvc if someone new happens to park close and aren't aware.

. Apparently it is against the rules to use the small portable generators in the RV lots unless you have an exhaust stack on them…which no one does
It's been a rule forever and it has been enforced forever.

Not hardly new.
Yes, we have been in the same exact spot running the same exact set up for 4 seasons. We have an exhaust on the RV's generator, but we did not know this rule applied to small, portable generators as well. Our tailgate spot is in the RV lot, but the generators are in a big grassy area...away from all of the RV's...out in the open for everyone to see. How this guy didn't see them for 4 years is beyond me. That's just not possible.

The shite they let slide is pretty amazing. Gas cans right next to the generator and stored under the RV.
The stack rule is just about the only thing they enforce.

You were lucky, TBH.
I've been in that since 2007 and that is one thing they do enforce.

Apparently so. Look, I am OK with the rule and we will address it moving forward. My biggest issue is the way in which it was handled. Like I said, he had every opportunity (30+ games) to come explain to us that the rule existed (we obviously didn't know) so why would he pick the Alabama game...the last game of the year...the largest game of the year...to puff out his retired chest? No common sense? No courtesy whatsoever? He obviously failed at his job many, many, many times so why not extend some courtesty and give us an opportunity to correct it for the next game? His attitude and demeanor were complete shite.

I recall them coming out with a handful of new rules about a dozen years ago and this was one of them.
Also, something about flying commercial flags and banners. Used to see a lot more of those than now.
Unfortunate that he slowed your fun, but sounds like you handled the challenge.

As others have said, the rule has been the same forever. If you search lsu RV generator extension on google, you can find sites 3-4 years old which were copying the same rules from LSU's site. It isn't anyone's job to "teach" you the rule, you agree to follow the rules when you decide to park there. How else do you expect them to handle it?

I know at least every year I've helped someone with a stack. Adding a stack to a standalone generator is a PITA b/c there really isn't an easy way to do it.
Yeah, I agree, choosing the Bama game sucked. FWIW the rule is printed on that sheet they give when you drive in that nobody reads.

Had a guy come in with wrap on his RV advertising some wine company.
They made him cover it with sheets.

This is nothing new and used to be enforced very heavily, you must be new to tailgating

I'm the first guy he shut down and NO we are not new to tailgating. We actually have tailgate around lot 103/track & field for years running the honda eu2000i's without a problem. We have had just about everyone you can imagine working for lsu/taf,police and even state officials attending our tailgates over the years. There is a big difference between a motorhome built in generator and these small honda inverters as far as emissions go. The honda eu2000i is the official inverter of the SEC. With all of that being said, your boy Mr Perault is a d bag and was out on saturday to stir shite. He was so proud and excited to use his authority. This guy doing this in Touchdown Village which happens to be loaded with people who spend the most money to support our Lsu football program is beyond me.
