I made beef tips and gravy this morning and had it for lunch- it’s too salty even for me - and I love salty stuff.

I have heard but never tried putting a potato in something that's too salty. Something about the tater is supposed to draw in the salt...idk.
You could always add some water to it or a salt free stock.

Update:
Tried thinning with water- still too salty.
Added more water and lemon juice- did not go as I’d hoped. I love all things lemon infused- but not beef tips
Straining out the beef and gonna make a new gravy.
