Since you were the ONLY poster this morning who replied or showed ANY EMPATHY AT ALL about my neighbor I'll let you know... The mother is in the hospital, getting fluids. Just passed out and was "unresponsive". Husband said it was likely dehydration. He seemed appreciative I stopped and asked.

Also the infant is older than I thought...I never saw her looking in the family way... Oh well.

Beers 1 and 2... Some bar mix

It is. My desk is appropriately spooky.

I’m a little bit stabby today. You?

Yes it is.

It's why I'm just sipping my beer instead of gulping. I think that helps.

Those people were my relatives, which are people I am related to, and relating to these middle-class people is something i can relate to, because I was raised in a middle-class family, with relatives and a lawnmower that was relatively a middle-class kind of mower. We passed on the Briggs and Stratton because we chose Tecumseh because of our ancestral relatives that we were related to. Cackling time.

I was scrub tech for a mid-thigh amputation while at Womack Army Hospital at Ft Bragg way back when. The guy stepped in a bungee stick hole laced with fecal matter and got gas gangrene.

We had a new circulating tech in the room, and I had the guy's leg and turned away from the table to hand it off to her. She had a towel across her arms, and I placed the leg onto the towel. She looked at it and never slowed down, as she fell over backwards in a dead faint. The captain-surgeon said, "Well, that didn't work very well."

Be thankful you never saw and smelled a bad gas gangrene wound.
