I want to do a tour of majority ( or at least 40% +) of Black cities in the South.

I've already got the Louisiana cities down. Any suggestions.

You've come to the right place

Wrong.

Opelousas does but they're mixed. Brown paper bag color.

Go to the Jackson Mall on Woodrow Wilson in Jackson, MS. You will find a lot of what you seek.

Why not just go to your nearest junk yard and save some money?

No BS, a guy at work moved here from Panama and reasoned that the states must make their best city the capital so he and his wife started visiting them on long weekends.

Austin, TX - excellent.

Then they went to

Tallahassee, FL
Montgomery, AL
Jackson, MS
Frankfort, KY

and finally

Little Rock, AR

He started questioning this strategy.

Yes. I order to truly embrace Black Culture in America, one must not afraid to interact with them. Even if that interaction takes place in unsavory areas.

Think of it this way, would the US be as great as it is if pioneers didn't brave the unknown?

Is it more dangerous across the river in West Memphis?

Just start at the head of the Mississippi River and drive the River Road south till you get to plaquemines Parish La. You’ll be inundated with hundreds of miles of your vacation paradise.

My advice, bring a gun. One of my college buddies as a young brain dead liberal shared your philosophy. It resulted in him being robbed, pistol whipped, placed in the trunk of a stolen car, driven across several states and abandoned still in the trunk of the car. Police fortunately found him, but he was arrested because he had no ID, and was found in a stolen car. After 3 days in jail he was released, I wired him money for a bus ticket home.

I've worked in a number of the poor areas of the country that showcase the worst that white culture has to offer. It was interesting.

Good luck on your journey.

Memphis to Pine Bluff then over to the Rock. You can do a pretty woke tour in just an afternoon.

If the guy is looking for culture then he’s gotta schedule a stop at Southland though.

Visit Selma. Swing by Uniontown on your way out of Alabama.
