Regardless of the 2 stupid people who downvoted I feel a lot better telling my story. Those guys were horrible people. I hope no one has to encounter bullshite like that.

Were those guys National Guard or Coast Guard, though? I ask because you mentioned a drug bust and then you said something about the Coast Guard in your last sentence.
Most of the National Guard people I've met in LA seemed relatively OK. We're not talking G. Gordon Liddy / Navy Seal types here, more laid back working class types who'd accepted that fact.

USCG is Department of Homeland Security, which is pretty much the NBA of Yankee douchebaggery.

The entire story smells like B.S. He was in such bad shape she was driving him to the V.A., but stops to mail a package. She knows he is having serious trouble coping with life, so she parks the car and leaves her ticking time bomb of a husband parked in the fire lane. Either total B.S., or she is a very dim bulb. Who knows, maybe all of the above.

I love the movie the guardian which I believe is about the coast guard but after my experience it’s just a movie and people can be dicks.

Damn dude. Don't get me wrong, every profession has it's share of assholes. Why I think the whole "thank you for your service" crowd is amusing.
I have to confess. Years ago I was hanging out with some friends at this one place to shoot pool and some ARNG folks who were hanging out after a ball or something (some of them were in dress blues, some in civilians). I talk to a few of them as some were active duty as well before going in the guard talking about how bad Fort Polk is. Well, one spouse got so drunk decided she wanted not just to make out with me but have me bed her right on the pool table. Well, the latter I assumed as she tried to lean back and pull me on top of her but I resisted, her hands slip, and she stumbled to the floor.
Turned out she was married. Also turned out her husband was there, saw the incident, and rather than confront me about it (hell I wouldn't blame him), to get back he pissed on the door handle of my truck. Then again the missus was being flirty with a few other people too and was commode hugging drunk. Didn't find any of that out till me and my friends all ended up at Waffle House at 3 AM. It had to be the strangest night I ever had out that wasn't in Korea.

This was obvious to myself and a couple of other buddies- all of us deployed to OEF/OIF - and recognize the “wall”…Suarez snapped and sadly an old fella suffered and so has Suarez and his family.

Than that guy in the skinny jeans who wanted to fight the baws on the Mardi Gras float should also claim PTSD from being a Fire Fighter.
He's dead but his white loafers live on in our hearts.

Not sure any mental or emotional condition makes a difference to the guy that got punched….

Very antagonistic to work with. I have to deal with them frequently.
