Self-reported general surveys tend to have a larger margin of error because people will still answer in a way to appease society or they're in denial.

So men that are more religious and more conservative are the happiest?

American women suck. They have been taught they deserve everything.

This is your problem. Saying you are “very happy” in your marriage is gay. If I was asked I’d say “it’s fine”.

So the should we believe any of this study?
Posted on 10/29/17 at 11:08 am to GreatLakesTiger24
So your data says there are zero groups that are less happy being married than happy being married?
Your title is misleading

Sorry I didn’t see the group under 50%, could you point it out to me?

I would be interested to see how single people rate as a comparison.

You seem like someone who is unhappy being not married. Constantly trying to justify your inability to find a trusted companion you can lean on and get through the hard times and enjoy the good times with. Sad. I'm going to pray for you.

Your title is bullshite and misleading. Even your own bullshite study shows the majority of Americans are very happy in their marriage. Go take your bullshite propaganda and shove it up your worthless, whiney arse.

"Very happy" is an ever-changing feeling, right?
My wife and I just went for a walk around the neighborhood after having sex in our bed. Our son is at the in-laws. We're about to eat some lunch and go pick him up on this nice, beautiful, cold fall day.
Ask me the survey question right now. The answer is "Yes! Oh so very happy!"
Tomorrow when the trash is full and smells after a long day of work, and my wife asks, "Why didn't you take the trash out this morning?" instead of "Could you take the trash out?" And then my son throws a temper tantrum because he doesn't want a bath and I have to come help with discipline?
And then my wife says, "Let's watch a show in a few minutes" and then sits on the couch looking at her phone? And I say, "Hey, are you ready to watch the show?" And she says, "In a minute. I've been on my feet all day, and I'm tired"?
And then I get on my phone and 30 minutes goes by and I look up and she's asleep?
And we do that same kind of routine for two-three days until I bring up maybe, you know, maybe doing the sex thing again that we did on Sunday? And she says, "Yeah. In a little bit. Just going to rest for a minute," and she looks at her phone?
Then falls asleep?
I might be less inclined to say, "Very happy!"
EDIT - I'd still say "happy" though.

Most of my single friends are happy. Fact.
Most of my married friends are miserable. Fact.
My happiest friends are those that are recently divorced. #truthbomb

1) take your anger out on bloomberg. the title of the thread is the title of the article.
2) the title is not wrong. you might understand why if you weren't too stupid to go to college, but i'm not going to waste my time explaining it to you.
