I was being facetious.
It's not that, definitively, black people can't swim.
There is nothing that prevents them from learning to swim. They are physically capable of it.
It's just that, by and large, culturally they don't.
You can't judge a cultural trend by the tiny minority that buck it.

If you would see the dinky boats they take into open water this wouldn't surprise you. Some don't even have motors. Just homemade sails.

This is such a widespread thing that Your local YMCA takes contributions and teaches "urban" kids to swim for free each Summer. Maybe we could send the YMCA to Africa .

Funny enough crawfish have been introduced in South Africa and have become an invasive species. They're multiplying like mad.
