Didn't he stop acting for a bit to pursue boxing and then had his face smashed in before he decided to go back to acting?

athletes

While there will always be athletes who blow their money, I do notice that more athletes who have taken more responsibility. In the NFL I think these rookie camps, etc do a good job now explaining how nothing is guaranteed and the money doesn't last for every, etc.

The same thing needs to be told to these actors. After a certain point, they probably assume there will always be an acting job for them. That mindset will definitely impact how they manager their money, but you are only as good as your most recent job. I would want to set myself up early so that no matter what, I would never be to the point I would have to worry about the rent.

Poor Mickey. When Travolta's dying career got resuscitated by Tarantino, Travolta seemed to correct his past mistakes.

When Rourke's career went belly up, he was rescued by the likes of Coppola, Rodriguez, Penn, Scott, Aronofsky, Favreau, and Stallone and still managed to tank himself again.

Didn’t she start dating a guy after this show (and maybe from it as well)?

Maybe that guy should chip in. Not sure if dating her is a good thing, but Mickey laid down the ground work for making it happen…
