Well really the first time I’ve ever tried smoking beef shanks. My wife loves to use these for soup but I have been eyeballing them and thinking how they would turn out on the smoker.
I must say they turned out really good after 6 hours on the Searwood at 225. The last hour or so was wrapped to finish them off

I bought the extended warranty through Toyota on my last truck. The 7 year/84,0000 (I think it’s 84,000, may be 70,000) mile bumper to bumper. I don’t like worrying about shite so the extra $2800 spent lets me sleep better at night for 7 years.
