Haha I was in Foxtrot too. A little bit after though, might have been around September.. had a bit of a detour... Was commo and was an 18yr old idiot who stayed in trouble, but turned it around when I got a 2nd opportunity at another MOS (68w).

Yep, here's what mine look like....

Pretty much identical to the jump boot, just with straps instead of laces.

1. you don't wear rank on the beret ( and his beret looks like a chef hat)
2. the flash is worn over the left eye
3. you don't wear ribbons and medals
4. he has a silver star I believe( yea right)
5. the medals are all jacked up
6. his rank say SGT Major, but anyone whos dealt with a SGT MAJOR, knows he would have a stroke if he caught private dressed like that ( SGT MAJ are usually uniform Nazis so there no way one would be that fricked up)

How so?

People who pretend to be in military are gay for lying and doing so.

People who actually waste their time calling them out publicly, or on the web are just doing so to appear alpha, and get attention. This is my opinion.

2. The modern mindset that nothing is sacred, especially something patriotic. Along with this there is an almost obsession with people nowadays of not being passionate or really caring about anything other than themselves. What's more important to many people nowadays is to appear to not care or have anything bother them lest they be accused of of being "mad" or having their "jimmies rustled".

I will address this and be done with the discussion. I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for veterans and active military. They do what I will never do, and that is serve your country and possibly risk their life to protect my family and others. I respect the hell out of that. I understand that is sacred to former and current members. However, you are right, I don't really care about someone acting like they've done it, or acting like they've been a member and have not. That is on them, and they have to live with that. Their thirst for attention is only matched by those that spend enought time to make a facebook page, or web site devoted to calling those people out. Both are a waste of time, and come across as attention seeking, and pathetic. Again, I respect military people, but there are limits of my "f*cks to give".

Oh hell, where to start? I'll hit the high spots...

Ribbons and marksmanship badges on the wrong side, name tag on the wrong side (I don't think Marines even wear a name tag either). The massive hood ornament he's wearing on his left pocket, the white rope on his left shoulder, medals all haphazard on his left pocket, which you don't wear with ribbons btw.

Mass of medals just strewed about at random. Looks like a Army Diver Badge & Pathfinder Badge on the bottom of the mass of medals, should be on top.

Mixing ribbons & medals, medals just pinned on in random fashion, jump wings under ribbons when it should be on top, and I think his beret is very crooked. Not sure about that one as berets came out after my time.

Mixing ribbions & medals again, proficiency badges on the wrong side, looks to be wearing two sets of jump wings.

Appears to be wearing two sets of ribbons, has a number of army badges on an air force uniform including the CIB, jump wings & air assault wings. Also, those badges are supposed to go over the ribbons, not under them.

Appears to have the same medal (National Defense) pinned on twice in random fashion. also has ribbon of this medal pinned on haphazardly. Has another medal pinned on the wrong side, marksman badge in wrong place as well.

Main thing I see here is he's supposed to be a Marine but he's wearing the trident of a Navy SEAL.

This looks like he took a blue suite and just put a bunch of crap on it. Ribbons are too low, UWP patch should not be there, appears to be wearing a WWII era German Luftwaffe badge as well. I think he's also wearing some version of the German Iron Cross. Wearing an unofficial and unauthorized patch under the SF & Airborne tabs.

1. Boot laces are flammable and the idea is to have the least amount of flammable stuff in the tank.

2. We're dumb arse tankers (DAT's) and most of us can't tie our shoes.

I can say they do the same job better. 415th MI unit was restructured from a linguist BN to a Joint Interrogation Unit in just under 18 months all while preparing to deploy to Afghanistan to assume control of the JIDC. So soldiers reclassed, went to school for said reclassification, then had to meet first army standards of pre-mobilization training to get certified for mobilization at the same time. Did it, deployed broke the barriers of the active duty leaders on the ground not trusting them then got hailed by by commanders of all branches for their exemplary service, far surpassing that of their active duty brothers who train as that same unit everyday from 9-5 for years before deploying.

I have 15 years between the Army and the Guard. Is it different, hell yes, and I was unsure at first, but most of these young men and women pour a lot more than one weekend a month, 2 weeks a year into their service.
