Good news for us: we only got to about 19 below, best as I can tell, and -41 wind chills. Could be worse.

Dude, we have these things called garages in Minnesota. Very few people have their cars outside in the winter.

Dude, we have these things called garages in Minnesota. Very few people have their cars outside in the winter.
I suppose if I dealt with temps in the negatives, I might rearrange those priorities, but until then the beer fridge stays in the garage and the car stays in the driveway.

A lot of people were doing this in my neighborhood. Then there was a rash of people getting held up at gun point as they exited their cars in the driveway. They quickly learned to put that shite in the garage.

I guess cold as frick is relative to how sensitive you are to the cold. Few places in the lower 48 average lows in the single digits or near zero in January.
Average temp for most of the midwest in January is in the 20's. I think Chicago is around 25 degrees. It's not like it stays below 20 degrees for weeks at a time.

Nah, the neighborhood is gentrifying radically. Crime is going to be far less than in surrounding areas. Just part of living in a major metro.
