In that ward, he'd win again. It's Jackson...

Well, once they flee in a vehicle, it becomes a felony.

Yes. A shoplifter flees, cop tries to block car with his body, and now it's assault on an LEO, uh huh. Then they have a high speed chase. One chase killed a lady in Rankin several years ago. Kids now without a mama.

absoloutely correct. That part of his rant was stupid. If he would have just conveyed his points without the throwing stuff part, this wouldn't be a media worthy issue. But I guess lbs drawing media attention to it, he feels like he's forcing the hands of change.

thats fine. The problem is rankin will continue that chase into hinds county/Jackson, and not alert police in that jurisdiction. Why? Because they know JPD will tell them to back down and to not have a high speed chase through their jurisdiction(for shoplifting). Once you get the tag number and vehicle description, you can move on from the chase. You can put a heli in the air and have the vehicle location relayed to officer on the ground. You don't have to have a full speed chase through the metropolis of Jackson to apprehend a petty criminal. That's what this is all about.

So what if it is. It doesn't justify what he's asking people to do, which will only result in cracked skulls and deaths. Of course, that's exactly what he's wanting so that he can continue to push his race baiting agenda.

Ridgeland is getting worse. Lots of people are moving to Gluckstadt. Madison is still rather insulated because they don't have apartment complexes everywhere.

Ridgeland is trying to get rid of low-income apartment housing and are getting sued because of it.

Considering that most of the criminals are from Jackson, other police departments probably feel like they have to catch that fleeing criminal because JPD won't do a damn thing about it.

I've said 2-3 times in this thread that his "throw rocks and bottles at police" comment was stupid. I don't know what point you're continuing trying to prove with that one. You

Give Mary Hawkins credit on this. She runs Madison with an iron fist, but it keeps property values up. Now I know she probably gets $$$ on the side (real estate), but overall it makes Madison a great place to live.

Madison has no apartments and houses are mostly in neighborhoods with strong covenants and fairly high HOA fees...

Problem isn't JPD. Cops arrest them.

DA and judges turn them loose or give them slaps on the wrist.

Because the larger picture is that he's actively inciting people to commit violence against the police, which will result in deaths. You can book it. Then, he'll start with the BLM bullshite, which will only further the anger and violence. This isn't about police chases in his jurisdiction or he would use the power of the council and county to enact change, not calls for violence.

That's probably true, but the communication between depts isn't there.
Here's a perfect example.

Everywhere else I've lived, if another county has a warrant for you and wants you picked up, they will contact the depts in that area to apprehend you and then pick you up from that dept. when I was arrested for crimes in hinds county, the county I lived in at the time apprehended me and held me until detectives from Hinds county picked me up and took me to the Raymond facility. That's pretty standard procedure accross the board.

Madison county picked up one of my good friends for failure to appear on a tint ticket bench warrant from his apt in the city of Jackson. Its those types of instances of non communication between the different departments that is driving this disconnect and the reasoning behind Stokes initial comments and his retarded throw stones at police comments.

agreed...at election time, everyone says how bad she is, but then she wins by a landslide every time.
