Jeff Landry should be sitting in her office asking for lessons on how it is done.

What was the point of him creating his Office of DOGE then? Was it just performative?

I hope she is a great success, but that was a misstep.

Putting Joe Giarrusso at CAO was a very smart move. He would not have won an at large seat because he’s an intelligent white man but he can get stuff done here.

And he’s Jewish

identify areas that are possible fraud or that could be discussed with congress to be cut

if thats the case wtf was the point of Elon and doge doing it at the federal level when the president doesnt set spending?

point is, you can dislike landry but dont just make up shite

now imo landry is a loud mouth mother fricker who needs to be punched in the mouth.....but he is actually doing a decent job as governor with attracting businesses, addressing crime, fraud etc.

In New Orleans?

No it was not a misstep in New Orleans.

Look, I am going to disagree with her on any national issue.

However, as long as she actually works and makes this city somewhat functional, I am fine with it. I don't care about her thoughts on national issues for the most part.

I'm never getting a Republican Mayor. Its what you can live with

So, to be clear, the head of the Executive branch does not control spending of the Executive branch.

The head of the Executive branch must spend all the money allocated to their branch and are not able to reduce spending in individual departments.

Without getting into technicalities I would say the executive presents the budget and legislative approves the budget.

Either can "set" the budget items if the other agrees.
