What is your opinion on the root cause?
What is the easiest way for a person who has been ignored or bullied by society to become famous and have every part of the country talking about them with 24/7 media coverage of them and their life story?
OK, why don't we see this in Europe or Japan or pretty much the rest of the first world countries? I am pretty sure 24/7 media coverage/social media is not limited to America.

In Nashville and Memphis you are wrong
No, I'm not. I'm in Nashville. The state legislature has waged war on Nashville and Memphis for the past decade and neutered those administrations so much so that they can't even fill potholes without state approval.

Gun culture is unique to America more than any other country.
We also have a Constitutional Right to possess firearms as a foil to an undemocratic Government. Perhaps the only one on the planet.
Guns don't kill people. People kill people. The UK has a knife violence epidemic. No guns, still violent crime.

Thanks for letting me know you don't possess firearms, or have not purchased one since the passage of the 1993 Brady Act that established the NICS.
Have a safe full of guns my friend. Have completed the NICS process many times. Twice this year as a matter of fact. It takes all of about 10 minutes. That is too long to dig into an honest citizens past so that citizen can excercise his constitutional rights. The NICS was, is and continues to be one of the ineffectual regulations that serious firearm enthusiasts, including me, know to be an eggregious attack on the second amendment and has done nothing more than made it harder for law abiding citizens to but a gun. Evidently you are ok with that.
Arm every man, woman and child...a modest proposal.

The root causes of mental health is a million dollar question isn't it
Good plentiful times mean you arent focusing on survival as the human brain has evolved to do for thousands of years
So the brain doesnt know what to do and you get mental illness in a decent amount of people
Bet there is a whole lot less mental illness in 3rd world countries

The key word is popular. The actions of that guy from Waukesha doesn't make it a trend or popular.
Media makes it popular. And the media have a rather pointed dislike of firearm possession in this country.
Again, this type of thing was unheard of until recently. Right around until the time 24/7 news coverage and the rise of the internet.

This person just googling her appears to be a YouTube star and activist. There’s an account belonging to a “Clara Sorrenti” @keffals on twitter. The bio reads that she/he is a trans & socialist. They also have some open tweets acknowledging drug issues and mental issues and seeking treatment..
Her online presence will be wiped quickly

American society/culture. There a lot of things that contribute to what it has become. The problem is, I don't think you can fix the issue unless you can transform American society as a whole, which is quite a challenge. No one wants a non fixable issue, but here we are.

BINGO! People are being purposely driven insane by various means so we will be accepting of tyranny.

Culture. Many people in those countries are raised to understand that it's shameful to take your problems out on others. They internalize them. Americans are largely raised to believe their problems can be blamed on society, the government, history, etc.
