What options do I have in East Feliciana parish for tv and Internet without paying a fortune? I don't need a big lot of channels.
Eta: I know nothing about direct or dish. I have Cox in BR. Anyway I can get cheap Internet service? Like a hotspot or something like that?

I tried tonight and it was a no go. I'm usually very successful at getting my bill credited for stuff like this. I tried being nice and polite. When that didn't work I tore the retention department supervisor a new arse hole. That didn't work either. They aren't budging for this. Let me know if anyone has success getting their account credited. I'm a 6 year customer with a $190 monthly bill and they wouldn't budge.

I've had just about enough of them, myself. If they don't budge, as you say, I'm going to very profanely tell them what they can do with their service.

I'm planning on moving this year and might make a switch when I do move.
I told them they sure as frick won't be in consideration when I move if they don't credit my account. They didn't care. Abnormal. I guess it's gonna take getting all the way to the cancel department to get offered a discount.

Can cox just switch to WDSU in New Orleans?
The local NBC station has nothing to really offer except the nationwide programs which WDSU could do the same thing.

Every few years, they try to start some horseshite newscast that no one watches, thinking they can go head-to-head with WAFB & WBRZ. They're either really arrogant or really stupid.
The people at the top of White Knight Broadcasting have made a ton of money over the years, but most of the employees in the trenches make very little.
Looks like I'll have to dig out my emergency hurricane-season HD antenna for the playoffs.
