My favorite is Tootie Montana Ave. instead of Tulane Ave. There is already a University of Montana, so I guess that place next to Loyola will have to find another name.

Did he ever win an election that wasn't widely and reasonably disputed?
Thats like every Louisiana governor until Mckeithen. Post-reconstruction and pre-Long era governors rigged a lot of elections

Governor Nicholls St = Lolis Elie Sr St

Wasn't this guy a writer for the Times Picayune?

Don't even recognize most of the names listed. I don't see Rosemary & Anna Mae, Pete Fountain, Al Hirt, Neville Family, Alan Toussaint and many others that contributed to the cultcha of NOLA.

Jefferson Davis officially got axed today and replaced with Norman P Francis who was a president of Xavier University and by some accounts is a perfect human being deserving of a street name.

Oh.... he’s black too. Not that it matters.

They couldn’t have thought of a better name for Lee Circle than Leah Chase Circle?

I've heard they are placing a statue of Drew Brees where Lee used to be and calling it Knee Circle.
