The 5 points represent this being the 5th high school to open in Ascension. (EA, STA, DTHS, Donaldsonville)

It has to be as generic as possible, look at the people on Facebook debating if it is a non-binary character. Also, I'm not sure why people are complaining on the name and color when it's been known for over a year now.

Just off the top of my head, high schools in Mississippi with either of these names:
West Harrison Hurricanes(located in Gulfport)
Laurel Golden Tornadoes
Philadelphia Tornadoes
Purvis Tornadoes

They have to pay their new superintendent 209k plus an additional 800 a month for a vehicle allowance. Not to mention those new teacher coach positions they created for next year along with bribing people to go across the bridge with an additional 10k a year. They can't afford a good graphic designer.

Look, the hurricane thing was a bit tongue in cheek. I just hate the logo really. You could always find issues with anything.
But if the choices were boring or insensitive, well dammit, go with insensitive and lean in to it! No half measures!
I know it's all after the fact but oh, what could have been. Now they'll be the sphincters forevermore.

They got a great Principal. Randy Loving is a wonderful man. Was a really good OL Coach for EA back in the Billy Beasley/Glen Dorsey era, moved into Admin at Dutchtown.
