The odds of it being a shark are probably <1%. If it is some type of animal, then it's likely a dolphin. Sharks are extremely timid.

I agree that what many people thought was a shark grabbing his leg was actually him kicking.
Yep. Odds of a shark being right there then attacking are extremely low.
People see what they want to see most of the time.

Agreed. The shark theory is the most plausible one when looking at the video imho.
Because sharks are just laying in wait to eat drunk people on boats.

There’s some next-level conjecture and wish casting ITT.

They're using the old video. If they update with the new video it would be a different conclusion

There absolutely was. People were downright nasty.

You're willfully glib. You clearly aren't watching the new video where he punches the water 3 times right where he's attacked (exactly what every outdoorsman is trained to do when confronted by an aggressive shark), then is literally drug underwater by his leg in a manner that is physically impossible to happen by an undertow or by a human swimming motion. It defies physics.

Care to share these exclusive videos you have that us regular folks haven’t seen?

Instead of punching a shark in the nose it seems the best thing to do if you are attacked by a shark is just shout "the odds are low!" at him. Seriously though, as I've said, I'm not saying it's 100% a shark by the boat there (at what was the 3 second mark of the first video) but after seeing the slow down and the new video I think it's the people saying a shark isn't a legit possibility who are wish casting. I think it's still highly unclear what specifically happened to him but that does look like a large marine animal that popped up by the boat, after which he almost immediately turned around and went in the other direction.

Why has no one who witnessed the “shark attack” said anything about it to anyone? Or screamed “shark” live as they videoed since some of you can so obviously see a shark attacking him in these videos.

That kid that was laughing and yelling over the video is so freakin annoying.

Why didn't anyone see him drown?

new video - watch until end for footage we are talking about
Read this apt analysis by LSUFAITHFUL who describes what I see as well.

This video is pretty conclusive to me. He throws a big punch. Then swings two more times under water before the shark surfaces (the s curve part we had all previously seen).
He also looks like he’s holding his left arm when he turns to swim away, like it’s injured. He doesn’t really use that arm to swim. Only right is moving. Then he gets pulled under. You can see his body under water at the end. He did not drift out of view.

Because they were not there in real time. They didn't have the benefit of slow motion and rewind. I’m not saying the kids saw it in real time. It is very fast and it’s dark. Also, as soon as he gets pulled under the lights in the boat change to red, which would have probably momentarily camouflaged any blood if there was any to be seen in the dark.
This new video clearly shows him punching 3 times in the direction of the wildlife before it pops up and makes the s curve. That is new. It wasn't in that prior video for some reason. He’s very obviously defending himself.
I think this video also shows more clearly him disappearing under water.
You even see something float back up and almost resurface after it pans back to where he was after it pans to the buoy.
I’m not wish casting anything. Why would I wish that in anyone? It’s literally what I see with my own two eyes.

If you watch the newer video that I just linked there's some ambient shots of the boat that give you context about how hectic it was on board (loud music, kids spread out all over the deck), and how it seems like only a handful of kids actually were aware that Cam jumped in.

Exactly. There was an impression that like all 200 or so kids on board knew cam and were watching him from the second he jumped in. From the video it seems like only a handful were watching him and reacting.

You can even hear the girl better in this video at around :15-:17 mark yelling in terror “there’s a shark”. Also how the passengers went from being shocked that he jumped to terrified screaming when they realize he’s not just treading anymore.

You have gotten so much shite over the vaccines and this situation, and you were right about both. It shows how groupthink is so powerful. It's very scary.

I see what I see, which is a shark. But in fairness, LSUAngel posted some really ridiculous stuff in the Madison Brooks thread that really damaged her credibility on this site. So, a lot of people won’t agree that they see a shark or give it much time just because she’s a proponent of the theory.
