The truck parades were always best. Do those still roll?

Everything the first weekend.

Rex puts a lot of thought into their parade and throws are customized per each float.

That being said, quantity wise, Thoth, Muses, Bacchus and Endymion reign supreme.

McMain and Shaw did too.
That was Shaw from East Cleveland, Ohio. The Marrero Shaw band is pretty much dead.

That's practically Rex's schtick - to be overly formal and boring but kinda in an artistic and old fashioned way. Any Mardi Gras veteran knows this.

I used to hate Rex for the reasons described, but I feel they have gotten much better. Enough to call them average.

they change the theme every year.... Some of the floats do not change, but I still enjoy the parade.

For those who go to parades for more than just throws, it is a fine parade.

My small child doesn't like Rex, but I have enough crap in my home anyway, no need to catch more. I always like it.

I'm sure he meant from a kid's viewpoint, in terms of quantity of throws.

Oshun is the absolute worst. Went to 30 parades again this year and no one on our block caught a bead at Oshun. Mixed crowd so not a selective issue. Just a cheap arse shite parade to lower your expectations for things to come.
