If she wants to support the police, she should be at the hospital with the wounded and their families. Why go to an active scene where a suspect is inside of a house with hostages.

The criminals run those areas and can essentially be like terrorists for those neighborhoods. Some can be so ruthless, that it puts the good residents there in a constant fear. If the good ones say anything and speak out against the criminals, they're immediately labeled as rats and will most likely be dealt with, or at least that's what they fear.
It's a fricked up situation the good people in those areas are in. I definitely wouldn't want to be in their shoes.
How many OTers gleefully post "snitches get stitches" on any type of relevant topic concerning whistleblowers, or those who try to do the right thing?
