Awesome, my house was hit by lightning last week and I picked out a new reciever that I wanted. Well hot damn that reciever was on the Prime Day deals and I got it for about $200 off.

I have the Echo Dot and connected to my computer speakers. It's good for playing music and asking a weather update. That's all I use it for currently but I could see it getting better as 3rd parties develop more capability.

why are y'all getting the Echo? The tap does everything the Echo does but it's wireless and waterproof with a magnetic charging base.

Because the Tap isn't always on...you have the physically touch the device to activate it. This would be a pain for my use case with my Echo Dot.
