He did tell her she had an outstanding warrant for human waste dumping. He also made the comment that he assumed it was for the place they were at

You detain first then tell them why so they dont run, and couple that with all the ones there include "Lance" interjecting himself. Then you explain why, its common practice, seen it multiple times as an EMT on scenes of DV, MVA and Assault calls. Isolate the suspect then explain rather than risk a fight.
