At 600 MPH, any turbulence or slight change in angle of attack when changing from climb to level flight, etc., might strain a faulty repair, and when you lose part of a wing at that speed, probably a violent yaw occurred. Note that some military RADAR noticed a turn just before it went off the screen.
An interesting tidbit that might explain the "turn" on radar.
Uighurs(wanker) involved?

The main reason why I don't think it was terrorism is because almost always the terrorist will claim responsibility. No one has made a claim yet.

Not much about this makes sense. I agree with the terroist making a claim aspect. But still wondering about the lack of destress call/situation.

The only two things that makes sense is a mid air explosion or being shot down.
Both of those scenarios would explain a lack of debris but are far fetched.

It's been reported that a Chinese group has sent a letter to someone in the media to claim responsiblity. Doesn't look credible though.

A plane that size, I understand the bulk of the plane & parts automatically sinking, but you would you think some parts substantial in size would be floating and easily seen. This is a head scratcher for sure.

fill up your tub and put something the size of a pinhead in it...make some waves and tell me how easy it is to find the pin head sized object. I don't think this truly gets to what the real scale would be looking for debris from a plane...maybe an olympic size swimming pool.

Why would you think it would be easily seen? This isn't lake Ponchatrain. They can't even figure out which sea/gulf/land area they are supposed to be looking.

Why would Iranians want to blow up a plane full of Chinese people
Even further, why would Muslims want to blow up a plane leaving from an Islamic country, and owned by the national airline of that Islamic country

Aviation Herald 3/10
This site supposedly says a debris field was reported off the east coast of Vietnam and is being investigated. Includes some pictures as well if they will load.

Looks like they're on to something

Can't they determine the last known transponder ping?
At least start in that vicinity. Then using data of meteorological conditions of that day you would have an idea where to look. Something should be floating. I keep hoping the plane made a Sully lading, but that is the least likely scenario.

good find

"At 08/03/2014 at approximately 0130HRS, I friend of mine by the name of "Pader Rohim" and I, while fishing at Kuala Besar, Badang, saw the lights of an aircraft passing our location. The lights in question were from an aircraft, I was puzzled because the aircraft was flying rather lower than the other aircraft that I have usually seen before this. The aircraft in question was fyling below the clouds from the direction leaving the country. On returning home after sunrise, I heard that a MAS aircraft was missing. End of my report."

I don't think this is terrorism. For terrorism to be effective, i.e., instill terror, someone has to take credit for the act and establish themselves as the source of the terror. This is not happening.
I suspect a combination of instrument/comms failure and pilot stupidity.

Even with a Sully landing wouldn't it have sunk by now?

Jeez,I hope not. After re-reading how that idiot French Co-pilot killed 230 people because he kept pulling his stick back through a stall, I have been more and more worried about pilot competence.
