Everyone will laugh at this but I believe I had the virus. It was just chocked up as an upper respiratory infection. This virus has been around for sometime now. But now that they know what they are testing for of course the numbers will rise. Just my two cents.

Did you kill anyone?

That’s not going to fly with my Pops
Someone in the family brings him dinner every night
He hates the food there & supper is his biggest meal

If you actually read the entire article you quoted from, LINK, thousands of places are not “closed for visits.” Exactly like I said, they are starting to limit the numbers of visits but what you said isn’t true at all about most being closed down. Healthcare company I work for has several contracts with nursing homes.

That’s what’s happening at the nursing home where my wife works, my only fear from this so far is the virus taking off inside of another nursing home.

I think there are a lot of people who subscribe to this theory.

Damn, my grandmother just put down the deposit for a room there.

Lambeth house is a lot nicer/cleaner than most of the places in New Orleans. Some of them are filthy shite holes and they are gonna get rocked by this thing.

Girlfriend works in an assisted living home in Louisville and they've banned all visitors. Family members are taking residents home left and right from what I hear.
Williamson County Medical in Franklin has banned all visitors as well. I think everyone is going to be doing it in the next few days.

I’d feel better having my Pops at home than there
He had the flu last year, we asked them to disinfect his room before he got out of hospital
They brought in a different bed, nothing had been cleaned, his water bottle still had water in it from 2 weeks before
I trust them to help him get dressed & make sure he eats a little
I don’t trust them for anything else

That's correct but getting ready to change. Just left home in Thibodaux and was told the state is getting ready to suspend visit until further notice

Frick. My parents are both 79 with health issues. My frail Mom weighs like 85 lbs. My incognito disappeared Dad had a stroke and is a stoic. He does not give a single frick, I’m sure. My FIL is 87 and vacations in coastal Vietnam every year. Not kidding. He has a sugar baby. Not kidding again.

My Pops is my Grandpa
He will be 94 in 2 weeks
I’ll be 40 this year
ETA
He is 100% in his right mind
He is awesome, I watch a lot of LSU Baseball games with him, he is going to be disappointed if they limit visiting hours

60-140 elderly in close proximity to each other all with compromised immune systems is a bad recipe. The cleanest, most diligent nursing homes in the country are not going to be untouchable.

I’ve been murdering your ole lady while you’re at work. Does that count??

There are plenty of people in nursing homes for rehab from falls & strokes as well
My mom is in a rehab facility due to a broken leg. I stopped by today to visit but they had a sign on the door saying “no one under 18 allowed”. My twins are 2 so she won’t see them until she’s released in a few weeks.
