As some of you know I have recently gotten back into the online dating scene.

I agree- christian min gle and POF is trash. Bumble is where it is at. Do not meet these people at their homes. Pick a bar and have a drink with her or a coffee if you like. You have until that first drink is over to decide if yall like each other enough and she speaks and you dont feel like punching her in thre face.

I like how many of you are trashing me thinking about using a temporary phone number but I think it's a valid security measure, especially until you know the woman isn't crazy. Here's an article supporting it as well:
How burner numbers are changing online dating

First off, get of of POF. That site is garbage.
Once you move to a different app, stay away from the long opening statements. It looked like you were writing an email. You'll be texting back and forth so the conversation should flow as such. You learn a little here and there, drop some humor, ask a couple questions and then ask her out if it seems like y'all are connecting. Like someone else said, don't get stuck texting back and forth. Move to a date.
ETA: Beware of angled pics, snapchat filter use, no pics with friends and no pics showing teeth. All these are major red flags.
Thank you for the good advice. Yeah I plan on getting off POF, it just seems like there is way too many fake profiles on there now. It wasn't that way a few years ago but it definitely is that way now.

And then I guarantee there are women who think anything less than paragraphs is too little.
"Be sexy, but not too sexy."
"Be nice, but not too nice."
That sort of shite women spew out on the reg.
It's definitely a problem I see with online dating. I've seen plenty of profiles where women will say "if all you say is "hey, how are you?" or something similar you aren't getting a response." Some of you say my messages were too long but a lot of women expect a few paragraphs. It's definitely one of those "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situations.

You need to match her
Again, have you ever had a gf?

Long term, no. Longest relationships ever were 3 months and 2 months and those were both back in college. So I don't deny I have very little relationship or even dating experience.

Why do you want to continue with this woman anyway?
She is a horrible conversationalist and gave a very generic answer to what she’s looking for in a mate
I agree that the answer she gave was very generic. That was a big reason why I thought she was a bot and not a real woman. I thought about giving her the benefit of the doubt but was glad I didn't.

I did match and met someone I dated a few months
I did okcupid and went on a date every night for months. This was in Houston though

Not you. I was talking to tiggerthetooth. He’s very anti woman
I agree with don’t just ask how are you. But don’t comment on everything in their profile at once or it’ll make the conversation difficult. Focus on one aspect of her profile at a time and talk/ask about that. Then keep the conversation going
And don’t continue a conversation with someone who isn’t interesting. If they don’t have a good personality and can’t laugh at your jokes and you laugh at theirs, let them go
You don’t want a girlfriend with a bad personality so don’t pursue one
