Somebody bitched earlier when I quoted the all-caps NWS bulletin without throwing in a "penis" somewhere in it so I figured I'd do my OT duty this time.

Is there a NWS emergency app that alert you of tornado warnings in your area? I hate going to sleep knowing shite could occur

I just use a weather radio. I don't think there's a specific app that's reliable enough.

all carriers are "supposed to" send out automatic texts... but there are a ton of apps for it, search the app store

I have the Red Cross tornado and hurricane apps. Tornado one is very reliable so far. Sends out thunderstorm and flood watches/warnings as well. Hopefully I won't ever need the hurricane one.
ETA: Tornado app has a siren attached to it for tornado warnings. It will wake you up.

Storms are staying pretty discrete up to this point and not clustering or lining out. Some of the cells offshore are starting to get more intense, it will be interesting when those start coming onshore.
ETA: Cell SW of Marsh Island is really starting to pop

I'm just patiently waiting and hoping for the best... night time storms are the worst.. and if they are HP its even worse than that.
