Because it’s easier to park a pickup and it’s easier to drive out.

Missed this.
That's a NO.

It's definitely easier to back into a space than out of one.

Just say you are a terrible driver and we'll understand.

No. I look at my in dash, and behind me, and back out. Its really not that hard.
And what's the difference of backing in to save time vs backing out when leaving?

Combat Parking baw. If the shite hits the fan you can get out quick.
Bonus points for the pull through parking technique. The truest form of "combat parking" there is.

I dropped off a package at the local UPS regional hub yesterday. There was not a single UPS employee vehicle that was not backed into the parking space. I wouldn't have noticed if not for the bi-monthly OT parking thread

People who back into parking spots. Why?
I'm pretty sure that people that don't understand this are the same people driving with there hazards on during the rain.

They're weirdos. Thats the only reasonable explanation.

Statistically you are more likely to be involved in parking lot accident when backing out of a parking space. That’s why a lot of major companies require drivers to back in. It’s required at work and then becomes a habit off the job.
Also this is a weekly topic. The OP should have done a search. Way to go dickhead.

Who was drunk and stoned? This is your last landing, isn't it?

I rarely pull straight forward into a parking spot.
If you have a truck, you understand this.

Ever try to park at Home Depot with a full sized pickup? That's why.

I have a Tacoma and my wife has a mini van. Maybe they aren't big enough for me to see what you are talking about?
