My mom is on her second. Dad peaced out when I was young. She got remarried 4 years later and has been going strong ever since. My dad has had a girlfriend since they divorced (had a couple while they were still married) but refuses to remarry. I think he's ashamed of the mess he made of his first and doesn't want to do that again.

I'm on my second, though had a LTR for about 5 years as well.

I can understand that. I did remarry but have resolved that this will last, and be final. Being sober helps.

I know someone that is on husband number 4 or 5. She's in her 50's though.
I understand that people make mistakes, but there's a pretty good chance that if you have that kind of record, the problem might be you.

I keep seeing a lot of this going on in this thread. Is there a certain place where only people that have been divorced multiple times hang out? Is that why people that have multiple failed marriages seem to find others with multiple failed marriages?
A pool hall, tatoo parlor or crack den perhaps

Agreed. Either they are the wrong person or they pick the wrong person because what they are looking for is unhealthy.
I have an uncle that's on #4 or #5 and can safely say that he falls a little into the former category and a lot into the latter.
