re: How would you rank some of our 2018 out of state recruits?

I've met Travez before he went off to JC and at that time he looked like a freak athlete. I can only imagine what he's doing 2 years later

Yes and honestly she wouldn't have to make "bank". If she made 150k I would bail if it was guaranteed to rise with inflation.
re: Do you listen to rap, but deny it to most???

I love listening to rap for 2 reasons.
1. The beats are catchy
2. It's comical what these guys come up with. I often times wonder if they are doing on purpose or they consider themselves lyrical geniuses
Example
Dr. Dre
"Never let me slip, cause if I slip, then I'm slippin."
Thanks for clearing that up Doc
Kanye west
Don't try to treat me like I ain't famous My apologies, are you into astrology Cause I'm, I'm tryin to make it to Uranus
What?
Project Pat
I'm hungry for cheese like Hungry, Hungry Hippo.
Also
Good googly moogly that tang is juicy.
I mean it goes on and on

Spinoff Thread: Are people with multiple Failed marriages only the poor and wealthy?

After reading the thread on multiple failed marriages it got me thinking. I am upper middle class not an OT baller. I don't know that many people that have been divorced more than once. Is that because my social circle doesn't include the very wealthy or very poor?
re: People who have had 3 or more marriages, it's probably them, right?

I keep seeing a lot of this going on in this thread. Is there a certain place where only people that have been divorced multiple times hang out? Is that why people that have multiple failed marriages seem to find others with multiple failed marriages?
A pool hall, tatoo parlor or crack den perhaps

Which brings me to the next admission. I knew they were older but come to find out the male of the house is 74. No idea his wife's age
How late is too late to knock on a neighbors door?
Posted by Ireallyamgerman on 8/14/17 at 10:01 pm
Got home tonight and noticed some of the neighbors workers had caused some problems on my property. I have the contractors number so I give him a ring with no answer. At this point I just want it to get fixed so I go over to the neighbors house to let them know the situation and see that it gets fixed. When I come back home the wife said that it was a jerk thing to do going over there so late and disturbing them. This was 830. So I ask, how late is to late to knock on a neighbors door?

Not every mid level has a degree from an online college. I understand that this is a narrative that plays well to the cause of discounting mid level providers but it simply isn't true.

medical school is graduate school.
3.5 years
Residency is on the job training
3-5 years
Fellowship is an additional year of on the job training for a specific type of problem or set of problems.
I agree fellowship trained physicians have had more training than an entry level mid level.
But let's not sling mud with phrases like diploma mill.
Not all mid- levels undergo online training. Most do 1.5 year of didactic training with 1 year of rotations in multiple fields.
Not unlike the 2 years or didactic training in med school and 1.5 years of rotations in multiple fields.
Residencies are available for mid levels as well as specialty certifications in order to gain experience and demonstrate competence in a feild.
A mid levels undergo on the job training daily from physicians also gaining experience from seeing patients.
Any healthcare provider has the option to seek out additional education and resources and the good ones do this. Also, all healthcare providers should be able to recognize when a problem is beyond their capabilities and good providers do this.
This isn't to compare the training to mid-levels to physicians. It's not the same. But just because a provider is a mid-level doesn't make them incompetent and being a physician doesn't make a provider infallible

Do only mid level providers misdiagnose?
In every profession there are people that are good at what they do and people that are bad. The initials behind the name doesn't guarantee a quality product. It only means that they have completed the bare minimum to be licensed in their feild.

I know I know I'm sorry
Im sure it does take a very intelligent individual to perform the duties of a physcian.
I can't think of many other jobs that require you to goto graduate school and then pay you less for a period of time 3-5 years during on the job training before you can be promoted to performing independently.

i suppose, it just doesn't seem like an extremely hug level of intelligence is needed to practice medicine with the advent of the Internet. Things that were once required to be memorized can now just be easily looked up on pub med. I believe I read an article that states how alarmingly high the usage of the up to date was on a normal day at the office for Family practice physcians.
I agree MD/DO is a prestigious degree and only the most intelligent people obtain it but that is probably more of an outcome do to the competition of admission than the mental capacity needed to complete the task.

It doesn't all goto your doc. You have to pay your staff with that 150. Also cover rent, utilities, liability insurance, advertising, taxes, ect

Let's come off our high horse doc. You went to 3.5 years of graduate school. Midlevels do 2.5. Then you did some on the job training.
While I'm not saying that a mid levels training is equivalent, let's not pretend it's night and day.
